Which Is Better For Businesses – Facebook Or LinkedIn?

Social Media Marketing, Facebook VS Linkedin                 As the public transitions more towards social media online, businesses are naturally following suit. Consumers today are overloaded with information, some that they are not asking for, and businesses have learned to shift their marketing strategies. It’s no longer about marketing to attract clients, but an inbound technique that hopes a consumer finds the business and they choose to work with them. The times are changing rapidly and more than ever businesses are finding social media marketing works. The question then is which social media outlet is best for my business. We will look at the two larger social media websites; Facebook and LinkedIn, and talk about the benefits of both in relation to a business marketing strategy.

The first thing to understand is that all social media outlets have their own culture. LinkedIn began in the fall of 2002 and established itself as a way to connect businesses with other businesses, while Facebook began under another name, Facemash, in late 2003 as a way to socially interact. Both are rapidly evolving and transforming themselves to stay ahead and both have benefits from a business standpoint. If you and your company are more on the formal side, LinkedIn might be a good fit as they tend to be more on the structured end of the business culture. Facebook, on the other hand, having started as a social interaction website has begun to allow businesses through fan pages or business pages and has a more casual tone. If you go to work in a suit and tie LinkedIn could be a great fit, whereas if you head into work in shorts and flip flops Facebook might be more familiar.

How To Strategize Social Media Marketing Efforts For Any Business Objective, Small Or Big

Social Media Marketing                 Companies, all shapes and sizes are jumping into the social media networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Social Media marketing fits in perfectly with the Inbound Marketing techniques businesses, big and small, have been transitioning towards in the past year. When you think about it, it makes sense as Inbound Marketing delivers a lower cost per lead than the more traditional outbound marketing techniques. And with businesses finding that they are able to close real customers with social media outlets within that inbound marketing strategy more companies are expanding their social media marketing budget.

Ad Server

Advertising add on for Small Business WebsitesThe ad module is a powerful advertising system for Small Business Websites. It supports the random display and tracking of graphical (banner) and text ads. Ads can easily be displayed in headers, footers, side bars, or embedded in site content. The ad module records comprehensive statistics about when and how often ads are viewed and clicked, including a optional module for generating graphical time-based reports.

Website Performance Increase

Amazon Cloud Hosting

If you choose the Website Performance Increase option, all images for your websites design are hosted on Amazon's cloud hosting.

This is the safest and fastest way available to serve your image files. Amazon has multiple servers all over the world, and it automatically chooses the server closest to the visitor and serves the file from that server.

Also because they have multiple servers, you never have to worry about the server being down, because if it is, it'll just feed the file from another server.

We also cache the files on your customers computers, so for up to one year after they return, they are not re-downloading the files from the server, saving them bandwidth and speed.

CSS and Javascript compression

We also combine all separate css files into one file, thus reducing the number of file requests from the server, it's much faster to serve 1 file instead of 9 separate files.

The same is true for Javascript files, our server runs through all the files, and combines them into one file and compresses that file before the customer ever loads the webpage, it's the fastest way available.

How NOT To Build A Small Business Website

I was browsing Craigslist today, and came across an ad by a person claiming to charge only $250 for a website. They also claimed there was no need to hire a professional and a website is a website. I also followed their portfolio link, and I will dissect just one of their websites. Almost all of them had the same errors.

The website I'll be reviewing today is http://www.thetaxguy.org/. I'll be taking many screen shots just in case they get a hold of this article, and revamp the site.

Example of a bad website home page

At first glance, this looks like a great, expensive website, but I'm going to briefly tell you why this website will NOT generate any substantial business.
